Quetta Gladiators is a professional cricket franchise that competes in the Pakistan Super League and were crowned the champions in season 4 of the league. The team is nominally based in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan with an aim to represent its people globally. The franchise is owned by Pakistan’s great sports philanthropist Mr Nadeem Omar.
The team’s home ground is Bugti Stadium located at the Ayub Sports Complex in Quetta. Pakistan’s former captain and prominent wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed is the captain of the team and is coached by former Pakistani captain and wicket-keeper Moin Khan while West Indian legend Viv Richards is team’s mentor. The franchise was established in 2015 as a result of the formation of the PSL by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
